Abstract

Gulu Agses’s poems are literary texts, and all literary texts are the
author’s creative act. The poet’s confessions and texts, which are part of
his autobiography, are at the same time a reflection of his thoughts, his love
for man and God. According to the poet, a person who understands who he
is, where he came from, and with what mission he came, does not need a body made of flesh and bones to live. He is a spirit flying high (“soul”), he
does not die, he just changes his form (“heart”). In the article, the poems
written on philosophical notes in Gulu Agses’s book “Gorsen Uşuyürsen...”
are analyzed as texts. It is not the weight and rhyme of the poems, but the
load of meaning, and the poet’s ideas about the world, nature, man, society
and God are examined.
